This is the second time we’ve used this company. First time we used them was in approximately 2017 for new roofs for our townhouses. This time we used them for new gutters. Both experiences were excellent. Process went smoothly from the beginning estimates to the ending payment. Everything is held up great. I would highly recommend them.

Quick and responsive. Very professional. Called on Thursday and Ron came out same day , I had a formal quote by Friday, I approved the repair on Tuesday and they were out to my house and finished by Friday. Couldn’t even tell they had been to the house besides the new vents they had installed.

Homeownership is hard. It comes with decisions. BIG ONES. Decisions that are not only costly, but complex. Making the wrong decision on a contractor can not only cost you monetarily, but can have a heavy price if the work is done cheaply or by cutting corners. This being said, roofing contractors have gotten a bad name over the last decade or so due to the prevalence of “storm chasers”, or contractors that travel around, quick to promise new roofing and exteriors fully paid for by insurance and without a cost to the homeowner. There are contractors who lack integrity and honesty, and will pull any string available to get you to sign for subpar workmanship and materials, while you pay the premium. Enter Responsive Roofing. My first encounter with Ron was several years ago, when I had been in my home for a few years. At the time, I was worried about the age of my roof and had called his company to come inspect it. To my surprise, Ron told me that while my roof was older, it still had some time on it and that he would suggest coming back in the next 3-5 years to check again. I’ve gotta admit, I was impressed, if not a little shocked. He didn’t try to use fear tactics, or sell me on something I didn’t need. He spoke honestly, and gave me an understanding of the true situation and timeline I was looking at. As you can guess, this left an impression on me. Fast forward to summer of 2025. Remembering my encounter with Ron several years back, I again called him to inspect my roof and give me his fair opinion. He of course did exactly that. It was time to move forward with our project. We decided to add on improved shingles and venting, new gutters, and some Hardie Board siding to replace wood paneling that was deteriorated on the front of our house. Such a large purchase is nerve wracking, to say the least. But I cannot stress enough how absolutely ACCURATE the name of this business is. “Responsive Roofing” is not just a name. It encompasses every aspect of how Ron runs his business. From promptly answering every possible question I could have, to providing estimates and brainstorming solutions for what we wanted to accomplish, I could not be more impressed. His crews were friendly and polite, and left not a trace that they were here each day. Ron was on the job site, and was so proactive in protecting our landscaping and house exterior so that we never had to worry that something would go wrong. The finished work (see pictures) was impeccable. Every detail was perfect, and the value of our home and increase in curb appeal was everything we could have wanted in this project. Lastly, I learned SO much from Ron. It is evident that it is important to him to make sure his clients understand exactly what they are purchasing, as well as the function of each part. At no part in this process did I stress that I had made the wrong decision because Ron’s responsiveness and attention to detail was so strong that I never needed to. Today, as I admire my home every time I pull into the driveway, I am so thankful that I chose Responsive Roofing. I sincerely hope that anyone in need of roofing, siding, or exterior work will consider them as well. You won’t regret it!

Ron puts the “response” in Responsive Roofing! We had a squirrel get in our home through the radon pipe. The very next day he was out putting the mesh netting over the top to avoid this problem in the future. He got the job done ASAP before the winter weather arrived. We are very grateful to not have to worry about this problem again. He was fair and reasonable, and the turnaround time was greatly appreciated. I will use this very professional company for any roofing needs in the future.

Ron replaced my roof a few years ago with a beautiful new roof, and a bank of windows this month. Both projects were very well priced and of excellent quality. Both were installed quickly by his professional team - you couldn't tell they were even on my property! The new window (a bank of 3) is much more solid and functional - I swear my room is warmer! From the very first service call to the final inspection of our beautiful new roof, the entire process was easy, smooth, and seamless. Last year, after finding them through the local Chamber, Ron and his team quickly came out to repair a persistent roof boot issue. My roof needed some repairs after damage was observed and Responsive Roofing was recommended by colleagues at work. Their company name is fitting. They were very responsive, clear in their communication, and extremely timely. They also left their work area very clean and no scraps/nails/et were left.

We owned a 22 year home in DeKalb and asked for an estimate to replace the roof. Ron got on the roof (for free) and told us it wasn't necessary and we should wait another 3-5 years. We bought another home in DeKalb (24 years old) and thought we needed gutters because we had a wall of water falling when it rained. He came out and informed us that we didn't need gutters and he showed my husband how to check the downspouts for clogs and unclogged it on the spot. Responsive Roofing is an honest company we would NEVER use anyone else!

Ron lived up to the "responsive" name. When I contacted him, he came quickly, and gave me a thorough, detailed estimate on the spot. His competitors left me waiting for over a week for their estimates. While we originally had planned to wait for the spring months, he proactively contacted me weeks earlier than expected to install the roof when he saw an opening in the weather. I never had to ask him to do anything twice. His crew was sizeable and quick as well and knew what they were doing. The result thus far looks great and has performed great too.

We had nine windows replaced. They were here at 7:00 gone at 11:30 the service was impeccable. I highly recommend them.

We called Ron of Responsive Roofing on Friday of a holiday weekend to get an estimate for our roof and gutters to be replaced after storm damage. He came the same day and gave us an estimate! The booklet he gave us explained everything and included a copy of all necessary insurance coverage and licensing for his company. The estimate was what our insurance company said it should cost. After getting other estimates we decided on Responsive because of the professionalism, honesty and prompt response. Our roof and gutters look beautiful and our neighbors have asked who did the work! The entire project was done in 1 day as promised including cleanup! We could not be happier and highly recommend Ron and Responsive Roofing!

Ron Hilliard the owner is great to work with. His crew did an excellent job on installing new gutters and downspouts on my home. When they were done with the job you would not even know that they were there. Ron doesn't try to oversell anything. Based on his companies work and price for the gutters. I just signed him up for replacing 5 windows and 2 exterior doors. Even though he represents a good window brand he was open to procurement on Andersen windows that will match others recently installed before I purchased my home. I will update my review more once he installs the new windows and doors. His pricing was extremely competitive even against a local large and a national large replacement window company.

Extremely happy with how honest and helpful RR was, saved me a ton of time, money, and stress. Responsive Roofing was the second company I called after I experienced a rain leak. The first company said there was no sign of where it was coming from and they would need to rip off part of the roof and redo it to find the leak. Responsive Roofing came out less than an hour after I contacted them for a second opinion. Ron was extremely nice and professional. A few minutes after he got onto the roof he found gaps in the window caulking and offered to re-caulk it then and there. Will definitely be the first guy I call in the future.

Got a new roof. The whole process was easy and Ron remained in communication with us the whole time. The estimate was very clear and put together in a nice binder (tried to get another estimate from a different company, but they never provided us with it). It took 1 day, they were making sure there was nothing left behind, using a magnet to get any nails that fell in the yard. Everyone was professional and I would recommend them in a second.

Our home was in need of a new roof and we also decided to go with new siding and windows as well. I called Responsive Roofing and Ron came to my house to explain our options. Once we decided to go with them, Ron got everything ordered and gave us an estimated time frame on when the work would begin (4-6 weeks). Within 3 weeks Ron called and said they could get started. We went ahead with the new roof but asked that the siding be delayed a bit as we had also decided to repair some concrete issues we had. What can I say?! Responsive Roofing is phenomenal! First let me start by saying he doesn't call it "Responsive" for nothing. I've texted Ron probably a half dozen times since he stopped over with our roof and gutters quote. Each and every time I messaged him, he responded within minutes. He runs a very tight ship! We have had issues with our poorly constructed roof, Ron listened and provided us with real solutions. None of the other companies cared enough to truly fix our issues. We had a few roofing companies over for quotes and they just gave us a piece of paper. Ron provided us a full packet of information, reviews, current licenses, insurance coverage and references with addresses. We knew exactly what we were getting, what products he used, his recommendations, and every detail specific to our roof. Our roof was done just this past Saturday and the gutter crew showed up Monday to finish up our new roof that was poorly constructed to begin with. We have zero complaints! I had a fly-by-night roofing company stop at my house and tell me I had hail damage and that the previous roofer did a bad job on my roof. Ron from Responsive came out right away and informed me that I didn't have hail damage and my roof was done very nicely (by another company).. He even repaired a little area that was lifted and wouldn't charge me. What honesty and integrity!

My experience working with Ron and Responsive Roofing was 100% positive. Having to get our roof replaced due to hail damage, the work was done quickly and efficiently, and the process of working with my insurance company was seamless. Ron is truly knowledgeable and was able to get everything we needed accomplished and covered by our insurance company. After everything was said and done, I accidentally wrote him a check for almost $1500 over what I owed him. He immediately returned the check to me and told me the correct amount owed. If he had not said anything, I wouldn't have known otherwise. Honest and competent contractors are hard to come by, and Responsive Roofing is one I highly recommend.

We received 4 different bids for our roof and Responsive Roofing’s was in line with the others but included the most comprehensive work. We needed 2 exhaust pipes installed for bathroom vents and the owner was there within a few hours to take a look and give us a quote. He said the work would be done by the end of the week and we let him know we were in a bit of a time crunch, he had people there the next day. Although we didn't get anything major, I see their trucks everywhere and now I know why. Great company and super customer focused.

I had roof damage from a windstorm early this spring. I called my Insurance Company and they said to get my quotes and call back. One of the companies I called, Responsive Roofing, performed head and shoulders above the rest. I had been planning a series of home improvements, including roof, windows, siding and gutters, to be stretched out over a couple years. But I now had some insurance money pledged for roof repairs, so I went ahead and had Ron, from Responsive Roofing, give me a quote for everything. His prices were a little lower than the other quotes but I picked Responsive Roofing not for the price, but because I felt confident that they could perform the work professionally, on time and for the price quoted! It's been a couple months since they finished, I waited to see if anything would go wrong before I wrote this review. But nothing has gone wrong. I'm happy with the material quality and workmanship, and my house looks great! Not only does it look great, it's much tighter with 10 new windows and the new roof and siding. My electric bills during our recent heat wave are significantly lower than previous years, so I feel I'm saving money too! Thank you Ron and Responsive Roofing!

Ron came out to the house and provided an estimate that seamed thorough and fair. our roof was in very bad shape and needed much repair after the tear off. The crew was great ! they completed the job on time including a spotless clean-up. the work is excellent and we couldn't be happier. i strongly recommend using responsive when getting roof work done. I've utilized this company 4 times now within the last year. Gutters were cleaned out last year. While in the vicinity, Ron even inspected parts of my roof for me (without being asked), knowing I was in the process of putting the house on the market to sell. He advised of things an inspector may mark me on. Couple weeks later, I had him back to do estimates for 4 window replacements. Had the windows ordered and delivered to my house sooner than expected. Delivery was within a couple weeks, with installation sooner than expected. This year after the home inspection, I had them replace part of the roof. Couple weeks later, the rest of the 10 windows in my home were replaced. Always professional. Always do a great job of cleaning up. I feel I can trust them in my home too. When the jobs are complete, there is always a follow up to make sure everything is to the client's satisfaction. I definitely refer them first thing to anyone needing roofing, siding, gutters, or windows done!

Ron and RR did a terrific job with my roof. It wasn't just a quality job done well, RR finished on time, respected my landscaping, reinstalled my gutter guards, left no mess behind, protected my plywood sheeting, and overall offered a construction experience second to none. We all are highly hesitant hiring any construction contractor but rest assured you'll be making a safe choice choosing Ron.

Absolutely top-notch. Customer service is incredible. I was kept up to date on times, progress, and all details surrounding the roofing job we had done. VERY reasonable estimates.
